Mrs. Duncan has been teaching at Hopkins Academy since 2002. She currently teaches 7th Grade Science, Strategies for Learning, and PLTW Principles of Engineering. In previous years, she has also taught Middle School Math and 9th Grade Science. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Duncan serves as the research supervisor for science fair projects, coaches the Equestrian Team, advises the Ski and Snowboard Club, and co-advises the Class of 2026.
Before becoming a science teacher, Mrs. Duncan spent seven years working in the horse industry, focusing on teaching, training, and competing. Outside of school, she enjoys riding horses, skiing, reading, and spending time with her husband, two children, their dog, and their cat.

Mr. Dowd has been a member of the Hopkins Academy family since 2020. A native of Western Massachusetts, Mr. Dowd graduated from Chicopee High School in 2009. In 2013 he graduated from York College of Pennsylvania, holding his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education and Biology. Mr. Dowd is set to complete his Master's of Education at University of Massachusetts Amherst in Spring of 2024. Additionally, Mr. Dowd is a dutiful and loving father of three. When he is not in his classroom, he can be found in the outdoors where he enjoys hiking and gardening.

Ms. Lord has been a teacher at Hopkins Academy since 2019. She currently teaches CP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Forensic Science, along with switching every other year to teach environmental science and earth&space science. Ms. Lord also works in the school as the Class of 2026 advisor and varsity softball coach. Before becoming a science teacher, Ms. Lord earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Smith College and worked as a lab technician for an environmental consultation company. Outside the classroom she loves to go to the beach, craft, flip old furniture, and visit her family in New Hampshire and Florida

Marcelle Morgan spent a lot of time out of doors as a kid, loves plants and animals and understanding how and why things work the way they do. Marcelle’s memories and experiences as a 7th grade science student guided her to become a middle school science teacher.
