Hopkins Academy has both a competitive team and a club for students that love horses. The team competes in the Athletic Equestrian League (AEL) English Northeast Conference. Riders have to be taking one or two weekly riding lessons with a Massachusetts certified riding instructor to ride on the team. Students in the club do not need to be on the team. The club is open to any student that loves horses or just animals in general. Club activities include attending the Equine Affaire, raising money for different equine and canine rescues, planning field trips, and presenting a topic during our Equine Lecture Series.
