Mrs. Linnehan's Reading Room

My name is Mrs. Linnehan, and I am thrilled to be with  you at Central School as your Language Arts Specialist! Previously to joining the Cheetah family in 2021, I taught in the Harrison Township School District for 13 years- 6 as a First Grade teacher, and then 7 as a Reading Interventionist in their upper elementary building for grades 4-6, as well as their Intervention and Referral Services Coordinator.  I have my Master’s Degree in Reading Education and hold both a Reading Specialist Certificate and Supervisor Certificate in addition to my Elementary Teaching Certificate. I also have the awesome opportunity to work on projects with the NJDOE Division of Academics and Performance, as well as the Student Achievement Partners. 

I am so excited to have this opportunity to share my passion for reading with the Central School Cheetahs! When we're not reading books, we're jumping right into hands on learning together! I love when we can all bring our own personalities and what we enjoy most about learning into the reading classroom. 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and son. We are avid sports fans, and especially love football! My grandfather was a NY Giant, so I am born and raised a Giants fan, while my husband and son LOVE the Eagles. We also enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the beach, and traveling!
