Our independent reading program is designed to allow your child to participate in their own learning. As part of the 2nd grade reading program your child will…
- Read on their just right level – determined by our formal reading assessment system
- Select books from our classroom library, reading groups, school library, town library, or home – as long as its on their level!!
- Track their books by logging them in daily/nightly – each line represents 15 minutes of reading or 1 book.
- Have their book logs signed by an adult
- Earn rewards for reading voraciously
