All About The Early Childhood Center
Welcome! My name is Missy Kwasniewski and I am so excited to have your family as part of our classroom community this year.
The Early Childhood Center at Tatem Elementary School is an engaging, specialized, and unique learning environment that focuses on individualized instruction for all of our students. Our program is designed to meet students where they are while providing meaningful learning experiences, individualized learning plans, and opportunities to grow alongside their peers.
Our goal is to help every child develop the academic, communication, social-emotional, and independence skills they need to be successful both in and out of the classroom. Instruction is individualized to each student's strengths, needs, and IEP goals while encouraging meaningful participation with peers throughout the school day.
Each day includes a balance of structured learning, small-group instruction, learning centers, sensory and movement activities, communication opportunities, and play-based learning. Predictable routines and positive relationships help students feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
We celebrate every milestone, big or small, and believe that all children learn best when they feel supported, challenged, and valued.
I believe that strong partnerships between home and school make a tremendous difference. I look forward to working together to help your child learn, grow, and have a successful year. Let's get to work!
