Video 2

Semester Course - 2.5 Credits

Signing Out Equipment

After the completion of the 2nd marking period of Video Production 2 students may be allowed to sign equipment out for extra filming time. These times may be on weekday nights only (Monday through Thursday) and are dependent on the availability of equipment. Sign outs are arranged on a first come first served basis and limited to a certain number of cameras per night. Students are not eligible to sign cameras out over a weekend until the Level 3 course.

Filming Privileges

Filming outside of the classroom is an earned PRIVILEGE - not an assumed right.  You must maintain a grade average per marking period of 85 or higher to make use of this privilege.  You may not leave the room to film without having an approved script or otherwise acceptable document that states what exact location(s) you can be found filming.  You must have a walkie talkie with you (turned on) at all times.  You must be wearing your current school year ID at all times, even during filming.  Under no circumstances should you film in bathrooms or locker rooms, outside of the building, in empty classrooms or occupied classroom/rooms without written consent from the teacher supervising said classroom.

Return to B16 immediately after filming, you may not review your footage while sitting in the hallway.  Additionally you may not take any breaks from filming to visit guidance/the office/a coach etc.  You are still in VIDEO CLASS during this time and should behave as such.

If you are found in violation of any of the Camera Use rules reviewed above and in the class presentation you will lose the privilege of filming outside of the classroom moving forward.  Your grade will be negatively impacted.  If I receive any negative feedback from any school staff while you are out working on a project you will no longer be allowed to film outside and will be assigned book work in place of the remainder of the project and future projects dependent on the severity of the incident.
