Unified Track

See you Spring 2026!

What is Unified Track? - Unified Sports combine student athletes with and without special needs on the same team with the goal of spreading friendship and having fun playing sports together! The team is open to all academic and athletic levels. We hope you join our team!  As a Unified Track Athlete you will train and compete for competitions with other schools as well as the Special Olympics New Jersey Track & Field competition hosted at Hackettstown High School on May 6th!  As a Unified Partner you will participate in practice as well as helping to coach our younger student athletes who will be participating in the competition.  

 Any student in high school can interview to be a Unified Partner, Unified partners will be open to middle school students if numbers permit.

Participating in Unified Sports is very meaningful and fulfilling experience which will provide you with an opportunity to interact with students of all abilities and skill levels to develop friendships, learn athletic skills and gain a deeper understanding of inclusivity.  Unified partners will interview for a position on the team. 

 We hope you join our team!  The team will practice once a week for an hour and a half.  Please use the sign up link above to register and a Unified coach will be in contact with more information / required paperwork.  Please email our coaches for more information or with questions about the team.

Hackettstown’s Unified Track / Special Olympics team is in need of students not participating in a spring sport to be Unified Partners to play on the same team and help coach our Special Olympic student athletes!  Being a Unified Partner is a fulfilling and meaningful experience. We are in need of extra Partners during track season to assist with coaching our younger students.  If you are interested in becoming a Unified Partner, please reach out to Coach Bordi (rbordi@hackettstown.org) to begin registration.  Our Unified Program will meet once a week beginning toward the end of March.  Thank you for supporting our Unified Sports and Special Olympics programs!
