HMH & Google Success Stories

Learn what Team Members are saying about how Google has helped them!

"Our team used Google for key initiatives such as the Workforce Reassignment Office. First, we needed a platform that had an easy-to-use set of tools to accomplish sophisticated work. Second, key projects required extensive communication and collaboration to accomplish our goals in a short period of time. Using Google, we were able to successfully conduct our group work.

As a team, we were increasingly effective and efficient because we were able to work together in a single file, in real-time. We had never been able to do that before and it did result in enhanced teamwork, faster decision-making, improved efficiency, and less email traffic. Seeing edits as others type, communicating through chat, asking questions through the comments feature, and not having to worry about losing work (Google saves changes automatically), significantly improved our workflow. Our team members who were apprehensive were sold on Google by the completion of the project."

"The PACS Department Team had a very involved Web Page document with many Word, Excel, PDF and HTML attachments. These attachments were linked to the web page functionality that has vital information. Our radiologists rely everyday on these documents. We had a couple of Google meetings to resolve the difficult terrain we drove through with bumps and potholes. When it was complete we felt we were driving on and could smell the fresh paved road that created a smooth path for the web page to be successful."

"My son is in Law School and had a group project to complete with his fellow students. They are doing their work remotely and none of them knew of the awesome collaborating functionality of Google. I was able to actually teach my son and his classmates about collaborating in Google using the share option, and chatting while editing the document. I was also able to help them learn how to better organize their communications for the project using labels. He had no idea about the side task bar and wanted to know how to make one for himself!"

"This weekend my 12 year old son had an Excel book out and he told me they are teaching it in school this year. I was very excited and showed him all types of commands. I asked him how he submits his Excel homework. He told me he didn’t have Excel homework. It turns out it was Google Sheets! The commands were seamless to Excel and they are even teaching it with an Excel book. It has been an easy transition and I knew it would be based on that quick interaction."
