We Want to Hear from YOU!

Help Create HACC’s Vision For the Future

HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, deeply values its relationship with partners and friends like you. The College recently kicked off a year-long strategic planning process that will help chart the future for the College and the region. Because we are committed to building relationships and helping to fulfill the needs of our community, we hope that you will share YOUR valuable feedback through an online strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) survey.

This survey will:

  • Ensure we can best support our students’ successes and goals

  • Be essential to the development of key topics for further exploration during the planning process

  • Help the College create strategies to ensure that we make our community a prosperous one

Please take time to complete this survey. This is one of the many - and most important - ways for your voice to be heard during the planning process.

CampusWorks, the consulting firm helping with our planning process, is administering the survey and the results are anonymous. The survey will take about five to seven minutes to complete and it will be open until Oct. 8, 2021.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to charting HACC’s future - TOGETHER!

Thank you!

HACC Foundation

Dr. Ski, HACC’s president and CEO, visited Tamara Willis, Ph.D., superintendent of the Susquehanna Township School District and a HACC alumna, during his #Biking4HACC fundraising campaign.

Dr. Ski #Biking4HACC Raises More Than $10,000 for Students

Dr. Ski, HACC’s president and CEO, truly cares about HACC students and their successes. To continue his ongoing support, he biked over 650 miles from June 21-Aug. 8, 2021, to benefit HACC students through HACC’s Fund for Excellence for CARE (Consultation, Advocacy, Referrals, and Empowerment), which helps students overcome hardships (such as food and housing insecurities, and financial crises) to allow them to complete their education.

Throughout his journey, Dr. Ski:

  • Visited 55 out of 65 of the public high schools throughout HACC’s 11-county service region

  • Met with high school superintendents, HACC alumni, business leaders, legislators and other HACC supporters

  • Raised more than $10,000 for HACC’s Fund for Excellence for CARE

Dr. Ski plans to visit the remaining high schools this fall. To view images and updates from his campaign, please use #Biking4HACC on social media.

Program Spotlight

HACC Continues to Impact Students Through the Arts

HACC recognizes the value of the importance of a strong arts presence. However, did you know that Sept. 12-18 was National Arts in Education Week? Throughout this week, communities across the country worked to express the impact of the power of the arts in education.

Marie, HACC theatre student, said that her professor’s teaching “not only helped me to become an actor, it taught me how to stay in the moment to be present and mindful.”

To learn how you can support initiatives offering high-quality visual and fine arts learning experiences to students, please visit hacc.edu/HACCFoundation/Donate/FundraisingCampaign/FundsforExcellence/performing-arts-fund-for-excellence.cfm.
