HACC Extends Remote Classes and Services through the Spring 2021 Semester

After review of guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Department of Health, recommendations from the College’s COVID-19 Task Force and feedback from you, we have decided to continue mostly remote for the spring 2021 semester. This decision was made while keeping your safety and well-being in mind.

Please visit the HACC website for detailed information on our fall and spring semester plans and supports to help you continue to succeed at HACC.

Once we have approved courses listed for the spring 2021 semester, the website will be updated accordingly.

Graduate Faster by Taking Additional Seven-Week Courses

HACC students are reminded that classes exist for the second seven weeks of the semester. Adding classes during the second half of the term is a great way to speed up your progress and cut time to graduation.

The second seven-week classes begin the week of Oct. 19, and you can search a list of those courses in your myHACC portal. Directions for how to search for these classes are included in this video.

Before registering for any additional courses, we recommend that you speak with your advisor and/or a financial aid staff member.

HACC Theatre to Present The Time Machine - Their First Live Streamed Performance

HACC Theatre is excited to present H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine, live streaming on Oct. 30, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Based on the original story by H.G. Wells, it has been adapted into a radio play by John de Lancie, better known as Q to Star Trek fans. Remember the good old days of radio – when people had to use their imaginations and when the mind was a stage? Those days are back – only better! You can SEE and HEAR radio programs in this live broadcast.

A British inventor travels in his time machine to the future, where he finds that the human race has not progressed as expected. He encounters a race of people called Eloi, who enjoy a life of “mindless abandon.” But, as he soon discovers, that life comes with a price.

All tickets are $5 and are available at hacc.edu/HACCtheatre or through the box office at 717-231-7673.
