Where can I find information about these types of engagement activities?
Career Development & Transfer Services workshops and events may take place throughout various buildings at our campus locations in-person, hybrid and/or remotely. So, be sure to check the Career and Transfer Services Webpages, the College Calendar, College Central Network, Campus Video Screens, and Bulletin Boards (Padlet and on campus) for more information.
How to Prepare for Career Development & Transfer Services
Workshops & Events?
The best way to prepare is to be informed - read your emails and check out the above resources. If you haven’t activated your CCN account yet, watch the video to activate your account today!
How do I prepare for a Career & Internship Fair?
If you plan to attend any Career and Internship Fairs, please make an appointment with a Career Education Advisor in advance (if possible) to update your resume. This way you can provide one to employers of your choice or at least be able to provide them with an electronic copy. Don’t fret because you can still speak to employers and ask questions without having a resume handy as well! Speaking of asking questions, come prepared after searching through the employers, speakers and/or presenters with a short list of questions to ask at any of the fairs (email us for some sample questions as well!).
You may either pre-register (via Navigate or email us) for an event OR
drop-in to participate (if advanced registration isn’t required).
For more information about any of the Career Development & Transfer Services workshops or events, Email careerservices@hacc.edu for assistance. We look forward to seeing you at a workshop or event soon!

Prints and Ceramics from the Darlene K. Morris Collection will be on display in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, from Sept. 3 – Sept. 27. A reception will be held at the gallery on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 3 – 5 p.m.
Included in this exhibit are prints and functional ceramics from 16th – 21st century artists.
The functional pottery pieces range from historical vases from Pre-Columbia and Syria, to contemporary majolica works that honor Pennsylvania Dutch red ware traditions.
The prints, ranging over a broad period of time and by artists from widely different backgrounds, depict biblical stories, political activism, faces and figures; people at work and people at leisure. The artists in the exhibit were interested in the world around them, a world peopled by their family, communities and daily activities and they responded to it through the immediate and intimate medium of printmaking. Other artists included in the exhibit are Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, Kaethe Kollwitz, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Jose Posada, and Shepard Fairey.
Mrs. Darlene K. Morris earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of New Mexico and her Master’s at the University of Chicago. She is a passionate collector of a wide range of prints by old masters and early modern masters. Having taken several art history classes at HACC, Mrs. Morris wanted to “give back” to the college by sharing her collection with the college community.
The Rose Lehrman Art Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday, Tuesday and Thursday 5 p.m.-7 p.m., or by appointment.
For more information, contact Shawn Williams, art coordinator, at 717-780-2478 or smwillia@hacc.edu.

Are you excited to share your story and what you have learned? Would you like to do all of this and develop your leadership skills, make new friends, and get involved with the HACC community?
Learn why Orientation Leader and recent HACC graduate McKenzie Hall loved working with the NSO team:
“Being a student worker for the New Student Orientation team has helped me build interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. The greatest gift I received from the NSO team was their amazing support and encouragement throughout my educational journey. The flexibility of the job made it easy to find the balance between work life and school life. It was a pleasure meeting and working with Nakia, Ayelet, and Jenny as well as the other departments here at HACC, and the students that I had the opportunity to mentor.”
