HACC Yeah®! News

Greetings, HACC supporters!

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. HACC knows that the challenges and uncertainties of life can impact one’s mental health. The College wants everyone to be aware of the signs, symptoms and resources available to anyone who is experiencing a crisis. If you, or someone you know, are experiencing thoughts of suicide, please know there are many options available to access immediate help.

Welcome to our newsletter, HACC Yeah®! News

We will continue to share relevant information and keep you “in the know” as we serve and support HACC students.

In this difficult time, we want to share with you the ways HACC and the HACC Foundation are doing our part during the global coronavirus pandemic. Please visit hacc.edu/Coronavirus for more information.

Please contact foundation@hacc.edu if you have any questions or need additional information.

Thank you!

Fast Five

Featuring Cindy Donell

The HACC Foundation is grateful for the support of our donors, including HACC colleagues. In this “Fast Five” series, we are featuring Cindy Donell.

What is your full name?

Cindy Donell (we donate as a family, so I have included my husband, Joe Donell).

What is your job title?

Professor of Nursing and Director of Nursing Programs at the York Campus.

How long have you worked at HACC?

I have worked at HACC since 2008.

Why do you contribute to the HACC Foundation?

Having been blessed with quality post-secondary education, my husband and I have experienced its power in building a foundation for success. With opportunity comes a responsibility to make that blessing a reality for another person. The HACC Foundation gives our family the ability to be a part of bringing quality education to others.

If you could share a message with a friend or family member to encourage them to contribute to the HACC Foundation, what would you say?

Support the HACC Foundation and be a part of the magic that happens every day in HACC classrooms.
