Did you know that Vicki Manalo Draves, the first female and Asian American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in both the platform and springboard events was of Filipino heritage ?

Filipino American History Month (FAHM) commemorates the first Filipinos to arrive in the continental United States on October 18, 1587. Learn more about impactful Filipinxs and their contributions to United States' history here. 

Do you know why Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15? It's to highlight the independence of several countries as well as the Día de la Raza, which falls during this time. 

This year's theme is Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together. You can check out how several U.S. institutions, including the Library of Congress, National Park Service, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and many more are paying tribute.
