Greetings, HACC supporters!
Women's History Month is a celebration of those who have paved the way in the fight for women's rights and equality. It is also in fond recognition of those who continue to fight for women to receive equal pay, affordable childcare and to be seen as valuable contributors to our society. Here at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, we celebrate the contributions and excellence that women bring to the HACC community and the world at large. Together, through education, we will promote a world where all women are seen, heard and valued.

Dawanda has been sober for almost a decade and said, “I learned through this process I have a lot to give from my life experiences.” Those life experiences led her to enroll at HACC and work toward a degree in human services. Dawanda said that her freedom from being “incarcerated, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually” has taught her to “share my life, my journey, and my earned wisdom to help, to be of service in hopes to educate those who may be in the struggle that I am overcoming right now.”

Digital video works of art by internationally known artist Jeffrey Moser will be displayed in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, April 4-29, 2022.
Moser will discuss his work April 14 at 6 p.m. during a virtual lecture that is free and open to the public. To learn how to join the lecture, please visit the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery webpage.
Moser’s research includes the creation of three visual databases of light, rhythm and color sequence in films, video games and music videos. The databases contain over 6,000 entries, which display every frame of a video simultaneously, creating a timeline of the film, video game or music video. Hosted on The Research Repository @ WVU, the database is accessed by academic researchers, artists, filmmakers, gamers and film buffs from around the world.
Moser was born in Lancaster and received a bachelor of arts in philosophy from Millersville University. He received a master of fine arts from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. Moser is currently an assistant professor and coordinator of the Interactive Design for Media Program at West Virginia University.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the gallery exhibition can be viewed by appointment only. Please contact Shawn Williams at 717-780-2478 or smwillia@hacc.edu to make an appointment to view the exhibition.
