It is our pleasure to announce Don Sites as the new chair of the HACC Foundation Board and Diane Grove as the new vice chair of the HACC Foundation Board. They will serve three-year terms, beginning July 1, 2023.

In 2022, the HACC Foundation awarded HACC’s Film and Theatre program with $27,980.25. The funds allowed the program to purchase two classroom cameras, six lighting and sound kits, additional classroom lighting and a total room renovation. HACC students who take film production classes will benefit from these updates. 

This project has transformed HACC - not only by allowing the College to offer an expanded major (formerly Theatre and now Film and Theatre), but we have seen an increase in program enrollment as a result of expanding the major. We are now able to offer a lot more content, not only in classes, but also in program productions. These enhancements will allow students to get hands-on experience with high-quality equipment including cameras, lighting and audio gear.  This funding will provide students with the invaluable opportunity to use gear, found in film and television studios, before entering the career field.

This investment in this academic program is the result of the generosity of HACC Foundation donors. We are grateful!

The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1985 to raise funds in support of HACC, is seeking professional, ethical, knowledgeable and hard-working individuals to join its Board of Directors.

The Board raises funds for the College; directs the business and financial affairs; and serves as the policy-making body of the HACC Foundation. The Board is comprised of business and community leaders who are committed to raising funds for HACC students, programs and facilities.

Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply for membership on the HACC Foundation Board. Applications are accepted any time and should be submitted using an online application.

On May 9, we celebrated hundreds of graduating students who received their certificate, diploma or degree from HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. What an amazing night!
