The College continues to celebrate its Spring 2026 graduates, recognizing 803 individuals who earned associate degrees, certificates of proficiency or diplomas and marking an important milestone in their educational journeys.

At HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, we know our students may be taking college classes for the first time, transferring from another school, looking for a flexible schedule and/or building skills in a trade program. Please check out our new commercial, which promotes the College’s great features to future HACC students.
The video, which stars HACC students, will be shared on social media and throughout our 11-county service region. Kudos to the HACC students and employees who participated in the two-day video shoot. HACC yeah!
Patricia “Pat” Saia, served HACC from 2004 to 2019 as a cherished administrative support colleague. Following her passing in December 2025, the HACC community raised over $1,000 to name a tree in her memory. Thank you!
Those who knew Pat are invited to gather at the tree that will be named in her honor. This special event will be Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. between McCormick Library and Whitaker Hall on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. Light refreshments will be served. Classroom 110 in Whitaker Hall will be the alternate location in case of inclement weather.

HACC Foundation donors provided funding for the Next Gen Campus Metaverse Initiative, a pilot project exploring how metaverse technologies can enhance teaching and learning across HACC.
Faculty participants learned how to incorporate 360-degree imagery and video, 3D models and virtual reality into their courses and programs. They developed immersive educational content for their disciplines while creating a repository of resources and best practices to help other faculty integrate these technologies into their classrooms.
The project team continues to pursue opportunities to expand the initiative and remains committed to growing metaverse learning opportunities and increasing access to immersive technology for HACC students and faculty.
HACC Foundation donors provided funding for AI-powered fresh-food vending machines, expanding convenient access to fresh meals and beverages for HACC students, faculty, staff and visitors across multiple campuses.
The vending machines offer a quick, self-service experience, allowing customers to browse items, check expiration dates and purchase only the products they select. Stocked with fresh sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and other meals prepared by HACC's Chef's Apprentice. The machines help provide nutritious food options during and beyond traditional bookstore and dining hours. They have become an especially valuable resource for the Gettysburg and York campuses following the bookstore closures.
The AI-powered vending machines have enhanced convenience and increased access to fresh food for the HACC community, particularly for students attending evening classes or balancing busy schedules. The project continues to support student success by making fresh, affordable meal options more accessible across HACC campuses.

Sydney Daviston-Atkins
Ms. Daviston-Atkins is a proud HACC alumna who has traveled abroad and taught English in South Korea. She recently completed a second associate degree at HACC. Her experiences reflect the dedication and global perspective of HACC graduates as they pursue academic achievement and expand their professional and cultural horizons.
Jordan Kmetz
Mr. Kmetz is a proud HACC alumnus who has begun a new role as a GIS analyst at Vanjoh Graphics, where he supports the U.S. Army as a contractor. He creates maps for Army assets and facilities. His work reflects the continued success of HACC graduates as they apply their skills in technical and service-oriented careers.
Time is running out to join HACC’s Alumni Association and AAA Central Penn for a three-hour dolphin and whale watching cruise on the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean.
