HACC Students Embark on a New Year Thanks to Generous Donors

Many students can continue their education this year thanks to donors who generously donated to the HACC Foundation in 2023. THANK YOU!

In the year ahead, we will continue focusing on the greatest areas of need for our students like expanding HACC’s dental programs, supporting English as a Second Language (ESL) students and helping first-generation college students. To learn more, please visit hacc.edu/GreatestNeed

Thank you for making a difference!

Donors’ Impact on Academic Programs

HACC Foundation Donors Fund the GED and Skilled Training Academy

The HACC Foundation donors generously funded the GED and Skilled Training Academy. This initiative aimed to support low-income Harrisburg residents who wanted to earn their GED while providing them with occupational skills training and job readiness support.

Thirty deserving participants were able to complete at least one of the following HACC programs for free:

Moreover, the students received ongoing academic support, job placement assistance, continuing education, financial aid guidance, Google Chromebooks, course textbooks, scientific calculators, Act 33 & 34 clearances and program-required uniforms.

The GED and Skilled Training Academy significantly impacted the lives of the participants and their families. They can now earn a living wage and have the option of continuing their post-secondary education.
