Did you know? Feb. 11 was International Day of Women and Girls in Science. At HACC, we know the importance of empowering females to pursue STEM-related careers.
Cassie, HACC nursing student, said, “HACC not being an option for me would actually make my life a lot harder. The affordable cost, close commute and outstanding reputation has made the HACC Hawks a part of my career.”
Our Fund for Excellence in STEM works to ensure future HACC Hawks have access to innovative and advance programs and technology. #HACCnews #HACCyeah

We can all agree that the year 2020 was not an easy one for HACC students, Central Pennsylvania and the world at large. Globally, many have had to battle the loss of employment, loss of homes and loss of loved ones to the coronavirus. The HACC Foundation is grateful for the generosity of our donors. Their dedication to changing the lives of students, no matter the climate, is exemplary.
Through generous contributions, the HACC Foundation has been able to continue to support students experiencing food and housing insecurity and financial crises; purchase equipment and resources needed for training; provide scholarship monies; support diversity and inclusion efforts; and do much more.
A total of 424 individual and organizational donors contributed to the HACC Foundation in 2020. We salute them for their investment in HACC students.
The following organizational donors generously contributed in support of the following initiatives:
· Benjamin Olewine III Charitable Lead Annuity Trust No 8 contributed funds in support of the Cooper Student Center Renovation Fund.
· Delta Dental Community Care Foundation contributed a generous gift in support of the Dental Hygiene Program.
· The Donald B. & Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation contributed funds toward its scholarship for HACC students.
· The Francis J. Dixon Foundation contributed money in support of the President’s Fund for Excellence.
· The GIANT Company made an investment in support of Inclusion and Diversity initiatives.
· The Pepsi Beverages Company made a gift in support of the Cooper Student Center Renovation Fund.
· PSECU contributed funds in support of the Lancaster Campus Emergency Assistance Fund and the Fund for Excellence for the Harrisburg Campus.
· The Steinman Foundation made a gift in support of its scholarship for HACC students.
· TE CONNECTIVITY, LTD. contributed in support of the TE Connectivity Fund for Excellence in Tool and Die.
We cannot thank these donors enough for their generosity. Their contributions have impacted not only HACC students but their families and their communities exponentially. We look forward to the continued partnerships and making a difference together.
An incredible HACC retiree, Mrs. Lois A. Maloney, passed away in January 2021 at the age of 85.
Per her obituary, “Mrs. Maloney worked for [HACC] for more than 20 years where she mentored many students.”
We are grateful for the dedication that Mrs. Maloney showed toward HACC and its students, and we are confident that her legacy will live on.
