Did you hear? This fall, HACC is hosting its first in-person open house events since the pandemic!
The Pathways to Possibilities Open House and Program Expo will give future students the opportunity to explore academic programs and support services.
HACC will host events from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Sept. 16: Harrisburg Campus
Sept. 17: York Campus
Sept. 22: Gettysburg Campus
Sept. 24: Lancaster Campus
Sept. 25: Lebanon High School
Each event will feature academic program displays, information sessions and opportunities to connect with employees and current students and more. Please don’t forget to take a picture with Hemingway the Hawk while you’re there!

HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, named 3,876 students to the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester.

HACC Foundation donors provided funding to purchase Commencement ceremony regalia for HACC students facing financial barriers. Thanks to this support, students were able to obtain caps and gowns for the spring 2024, fall 2025 and spring 2025 Commencement ceremonies without added financial stress.
In addition, some students received stoles that reflected their academic achievements, cultural heritage, military service and personal journeys. For many graduates, these stoles carried deep meaning, symbolizing their accomplishments and connection to HACC.
Commencement is more than a celebration of academic success. It is a time to honor resilience, hard work and the pursuit of a better future. With the generosity of HACC Foundation donors, the College remains committed to reaffirming that HACC’s students are supported, valued and central to its mission and success.
HACC Foundation donors provided funding to HACC’s Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and Fire Service Training programs for new and improved state-of-the-art equipment. The equipment will enhance teaching and learning, promote health and safety and generate student opportunities at newly constructed EMS labs on HACC’s Gettysburg, Lancaster and York campuses.
The equipment purchased includes:
New and replacement mannequins used in learning and testing scenarios
Two blood pressure simulation arms
Four flexible stretchers and four scoop stretchers to teach EMS students proper lifting and moving techniques
An Ice-making machine to ensure student health and safety during fire and rescue training exercises
The impact on HACC students has been immediate and meaningful. The equipment provides state-of-the-art training and reflects real-world environments. The result is a stronger, more capable training environment that empowers students, strengthens community partnerships and reinforces HACC’s commitment to excellence in public safety education.
