Welcome to our newsletter, HACC Yeah®! News
We will continue to share relevant information and keep you “in the know” as we serve and support HACC students.
In this difficult time, we want to share with you the ways HACC and the HACC Foundation are doing our part during the global coronavirus pandemic. Please visit hacc.edu/Coronavirus for more information.
Please contact foundation@hacc.edu if you have any questions or need additional information.
Thank you!
Before enrolling at HACC, Daniel was unexpectedly laid off from a company that was on its last legs. Amazingly, he was able to see this as a blessing in disguise. “Although I lost my apartment and had to move in with my parents, I’ve been given an opportunity to get a degree and progress in a career that suits me. I’m really looking forward to completing my degree and getting my own place again,” he said.
To continue reading Daniel’s story, please visit our website.
HACC is evaluating the Programs section of our website, and we need YOUR help!

Our graduating students work hard – inside and outside of the classroom. To reach the momentous achievement of obtaining a HACC degree, certificate or diploma, they battled the global pandemic on the frontlines, raised children, supported families and worked full-time jobs.
Are you graduating this semester or do you want to celebrate our graduating students? HACC Yeah!
To celebrate our graduating students, you can:
View the livestream of HACC’s Commencement ceremony on YouTube (more information will be added to HACC’s website closer to the event).
Share YOUR excitement on social media and tag HACC in your post

HACC’s spring 2022 Commencement ceremony will be held on May 10 at 6 p.m. at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa. Please continue to check our Commencement website for updated information.

On March 30, HACC hosted its second Free College Day online to inform future students “where the HACC to start.” (At HACC, of course!)
Throughout the day, future HACC students had the opportunity to:
Attend 52 sessions
Connect with HACC advisors, faculty and admissions counselors
Attend a virtual class in subjects including education, nursing and culinary arts
Be entered into a drawing to win $1,000 toward fall tuition
Experience college life for a day
Do you know a future student who doesn’t know where the HACC to start? Please encourage them to attend a virtual information session or connect with an admissions counselor.
Many thanks to those involved in planning the event and ensuring the day was a success for future HACC students!
Full-ride scholarships will cover 100% of the cost to become a first responder
Black citizens are among the communities underrepresented in law enforcement and emergency medical services – and HACC is taking action to change that dynamic.
Each year for three years – in 2022, 2023 and 2024 – the College will award 12 full-ride scholarships to Black students in the College’s Municipal Police Academy and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program at the Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. The scholarships will cover 100% of the program costs.
Please visit hacc.edu/InvestEMTandPolice and HACC’s online newsroom for more information.
You are invited to participate in the exciting HACC events we have coming up.
Please visit the HACC Events Calendar for more information. We will see you there!
