Meet Moses: Headed for Success in Tech
Moses said he knew “HACC would be a good option” after attending one of HACC’s Engineering Day events at his high school. He said that “for a community college to have a good staff while teaching a hard profession was very impressive” and noted that HACC also offers financial aid.

Donors’ Impact on Academic Programs
HACC Foundation Donors Fund Creation of New Art Collection at HACC’s Rose Lehrman Art Gallery
HACC Foundation donors provided funding for the shipping and handling fees associated with receiving donated artwork to the College. The Rose Lehrman Art Gallery accepted artwork by the artists Mary Francis Judge, Ken Rush and Vincent Baldassano. These artists and collectors value seeing their artwork as part of teaching collections like HACC. These artists were willing to donate artwork to the gallery’s Permanent Art Collection for free. The College was responsible for the associated shipping and handling costs. The costs included crate costs, the packaging of the artwork and the shipping fees associated with the delivery of artwork to HACC’s campuses. These paintings will be displayed on multiple campuses and used by our faculty and students as teaching tools.
The purpose of the Permanent Art Collection is to encourage, develop and maintain a collection to benefit the College community. Additionally, the art collection will increase artistic appreciation and enjoyment of the College surroundings by members of the College community. It also expands interests and understanding across a broad range of cultural and social backgrounds; promotes aesthetic and cultural development opportunities for students; and integrates art into the daily living environment of the College.

HACC’s Skilled Trades Programs Shine in ‘PMA Perspective’
HACC’s skilled trades programs were recently featured in an episode of “PMA Perspective.” Carl Marrara, executive director of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association, and Joy Johnson, director of communications, interviewed HACC leadership, faculty and students to learn all about our skilled trades programs, industry partnerships and vision for the future. The episode demonstrates that HACC sets a standard for excellence in programs like electrical technology; heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC); mechatronics; and welding.
You can watch the full episode on the PMA Perspective Vimeo channel.
