An Interview with Dr. Ski

Dr. Ski chats with EJ Smith, top left, and Cole Godfrey, top right, admissions professionals at Lebanon Valley College, during their Admissions Guys podcast earlier this year.

LVC’s Admission Guys Quiz Dr. Ski About the Value of HACC

Starting your college journey at a community college is a smart choice

Dr. Ski, the president and CEO of HACC, proudly declares that “HACC is the community’s college.

Discover the myriad reasons why by watching his interview earlier this year with The Admission Guys – Cole Godfrey and EJ Smith, college admission professionals at Lebanon Valley College. Dr. Ski joined them via Zoom to talk about the benefits of starting the college journey at HACC.

Dr. Ski’s passion for what HACC offers its students of all ages from many walks of life and the College’s role in supporting the community are captured in this 36-minute interview.

The Admission Guys asked if Dr. Ski had a massive billboard and could put anything on it, what would he say and why.

He replied, “Community college changes lives, changes destinies and changes family trees.”

Dr. Ski added, “I see it every day in and out of the classroom.”

We Want to Hear From YOU!

#EndCCstigma

We know a HACC degree, certificate or diploma can change lives. However, some think a community college education is not as important as a four-year degree. Michael, a HACC alumnus, said, “The common stigma of getting a bad education through a community college is completely false.”

Throughout Community College Month (and beyond!), we need YOUR help to end the community college stigma. Please consider sharing how HACC impacted you using #EndCCstigma and tagging our social media pages.

Your story could encourage continuing and future HACC students to remain on their journey to community college success.
