Frequently Asked
Questions
What if I need to change my child's transportation?
Transportation changes should be written in agenda AND messaged through Remind. If not confirmed by the teacher through Remind, call the front office to make sure information is received. All changes should be confirmed by noon.
Does my child have homework?
Students will have Math and ELA homework Monday through Thursday, as well as reading for 20 minutes nightly.
How are behaviors dealt with in 4th grade?
4th grade teachers use a behavior notebook. If a student has a behavior issue, they will receive a log. More information can be found in the behavior newsletter.
How can I get in touch with my child's teacher?
You can email, call, send a message through the agenda or send a message through Remind. See the "Contact Us" page.
How can I get information about what is going on at school?
A weekly newsletter will be sent with homework on Mondays. You can check the website for updates, as well as weekly updates sent through Remind.
What is the cost for breakfast and lunch?
Breakfast and lunch will be free for all students this year.
How much is ice cream?
Ice cream is $1.00
Can my student bring a snack?
Students can bring a HEALTHY snack to eat during snack time. Due to a severe peanut allergy in 4th grade, please do not send anything containing peanuts. There is a snack machine, but items may only be purchased after lunch. The machine only accepts quarters!
Can my student bring a water bottle?
Yes! But please only send WATER. Spills happen often and sugary drinks are difficult to clean up.
Can my student celebrate their birthday at school?
Yes. It will be done during recess time or after lunch. Items must be store bought in the original container. Cupcakes or something that can be served individually are preferred. Another idea would be to purchase ice cream for the entire class.
