Meet the HAASPCS Seaview teachers

Celeste Barcia

Celeste enjoys partnering with parents and students in creating rich and meaningful learning experiences. Celeste has been working in education since 2010. She has raised 3 children here on the Big Island.  Becoming a teacher with HAAS Seaview Community School was a dream job for her, and she began teaching here in 2017. Celeste received her teaching degree from UH Hilo, and went on to obtain a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.   She and her family are long time Hawai'i Island residents. Celeste is passionate about instilling confidence, connection and a love of learning in her students.  In doing so, she facilitates a caring and engaging atmosphere where children can thrive emotionally, intellectually, and socially. When she isn't working with her students, she loves to read all sorts of books, spend time with family and travel the world. She's grateful to live and  explore our beautiful island via hiking trails, swimming in the ocean or in the mountains on horseback.
