Celeste is a passionate educator with a deep commitment to fostering a love of learning in her students. With over a decade of experience in education, including years spent homeschooling her own children on the Big Island, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the classroom. Celeste earned her teaching degree from UH Hilo and furthered her expertise with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. She believes in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where children can thrive emotionally, intellectually, and socially. She is community minded, values collaboration and enjoys partnering with parents to create rich and meaningful learning experiences for each student. She and her family are long time Hawai'i Island residents. She's been a teacher at HAAS Seaview Community School since 2017. When not in the classroom, she travels the world. Celeste also enjoys reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and exploring the beauty of Hawai'i Island through hiking, swimming, and horseback riding.
Sarah holds a bachelor's degree in Science and a Masters of Arts in Elementary Teaching. She believes that students learn best in environments that are student-centered, developmentally responsive, and academically challenging. She is committed to fostering a school community in which all students have a sense of belonging. Sarah is passionate about inspiring children to love their learning process. She deeply values creating a collaborative partnership with parents and students. This is Sarah’s 6th year teaching at HAAS Seaview community School. She is thrilled to spend her days teaching at SPACE. When she is not in the classroom you might find her adventuring with her 10 year old son or swimming in the deep sea!
