After School 23/24_ENG version

This experience is annual and encompasses three key thematic areas: DIGITAL, HANDS-ON and PERFORMING ARTS. The activities will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and can be purchased by paying a fixed fee depending on the number of days chosen. All students will be able to approach these key areas throughout the school year.

A rotation system

Participants will be able to experiment different topics and subtopics within a given area according to a rotation system. The student will be involved in an all-encompassing experience including all three core thematic areas: digital, hands-on and performing arts.

The 3 key thematic areas

DIGITAL

The activities that students will be joining in this case put the digital element at the core of the experience, a critical factor for the development of an active, fun and engaging learning process. Using digital tools is complementary to the configuration of the learning process itself, in that it allows the student to develop and master digital and computational skills and knowledge that can be applied to any everyday life situation. During the course, topics such as robotics, creative electronics and coding will be explored.

HANDS-ON

The experience plays a central role in the development of the learning process: it is critical to give emphasis to acquisition, manipulation and the use of abstract symbols through practical hands-on activities. This kind of experience allows students to develop a comprehensive perspective that combines experience, perception, cognition and behavior. During the course, topics such as cooking, making and arts & crafts will be explored.

PERFORMING ARTS

Educational experiences based on performing arts represent a real, safe space to practice and strengthen emotional literacy, which is a key player in the development of self-identity and self-worth.  This type of activity breaks down personal and interpersonal boundaries in that it allows for full exploration of the self and of the other, besides spurring students to widen their imagination and to develop their own voice. During the course, topics such as vocal coaching and theatre will be explored.

LANGUAGE CLUBS

Language Clubs enhance and elevate the Arts and Culture curriculum for PYP 3-4-5 students. For the upcoming 2023-24 school year, we are thrilled to introduce French and Mandarin language courses, fostering a multicultural environment.

Membership for Language Clubs is valid for one year and entitles students to participate in weekly meetings dedicated to each language.

Fees

This offer comes at the following fees:

1 day per week - € 850
2 days per week - € 1600
3 days per week - € 2200

The fee for a Language Club is annual and amounts to € 750.

Registration

Enrollments are open until Thursday 10th August. If you enroll after a group's capacity is full, you will be added to a waiting list. There are no trial lessons.

Payment

Payments for all activities is split into two installments, one to be paid by 30th September 2023 and the second to be paid by 31st January 2024.
