Participant To Dos (*Optional)

Please complete the following OPTIONAL to dos prior to participation on Tuesday, August 2nd.

Read MVLA Welcome Letter

Welcome to Mount Vernon!

When you have a spare moment, read through the letter from one of the Mount Vernon Ladies Association Vice Regents to welcome you to the George Washington Teacher's Institute and your time at the Estate.

Read About Women of the 18th Century

You will be receiving a welcome gift from us in the mail by early May!

If you have time (we know how busy everyone is!), please enjoy some content reading to help prepare you for discussions. Enjoy!

Take a Tour

Though we'll be visiting several sites on the Estate and you'll have some exploration time , we sadly won't have time for everything. If you'd like to view a few extra pre-filmed tours before we meet to help build your background knowledge (or following our time together to support your learning) here you go. Enjoy!
