Maryland Statewide Campaigns 

While several Maryland counties have passed or are considering all-electric building codes for new construction, the next step is to pass these codes statewide.

Maryland's utility-run EmPOWER home energy efficiency program needs updating as our state works toward electrification. EmPOWER should not incentivize new gas appliances. We will continue to support a bill in the Maryland General Assembly to strengthen EmPOWER.

As Maryland receives funds for home energy retrofits from the IRA it's important that they actually benefit all communities, especially low-income folks, people of color, and renters.
