About Mrs. Bates

My name is Michele Bates. I graduated from South Florence High School in Florence, SC. I then earned a Bachelors degree in Literature with a minor in writing. I earned my Masters in Library Science from USC and began my career as a media specialist at Saluda Elementary in 1996. In 2000, I became a Northside Knight.

I am marries to Brandon Bates. I have two children, Morgan (22) and Taylor (19). We have two dogs, Teddy (yorkipoo) and Cooper (doberman/retriever mix). We maintain a large garden behind our house and spend most of the summer canning veggies.

My hobbies are reading (of course), cooking, gardening, and canning.
