DTE Upcycling Club

Purpose

Over the next few weeks and months a team of pupils from S1-S6 will be upcycling items which have previously been thrown out to the skip.

The aim is to sell the items and raise money to support our Watson's Malawi Partnership.    The Watson's Malawi Partnership was launched in June 2017. It aims to facilitate work between our pupils, staff, parents, former pupils and other friends of the School and members of the wider community to build sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships with organisations and individuals in Malawi.

Our aim:

Our team of S1-S6 pupils give up their lunchtimes to restore and upcycle a variety of items and give them a new life.  At the end of each month we will update the Parents' Digest and this site with new items for auction.  All profits will be donated to the Watson's Malawi Partnership

The items available to buy in this month's silent auction are below.  Simply submit what you would be happy to pay, no one else will see your bid, the highest bid will win and Mr Kaine will be in touch to collect payment via the GWC Extras account the Monday after the auction ends.

To see a list of our upcoming projects and weekly progress please scroll through the slideshow.

We also hope to have some recycled Teak pens ready for Christmas stocking fillers.  More info to follow in December.

A HUGE thank you to the pupils who give up their lunchtime to upcycle these fantastic designs under the support and supervision of Mr Maclaren, Mr Chan, Mr Marshall, Mr Kaine (all from the Design, Technology and Engineering Department).

All auctions will run for a week or until the date set and the the highest offer will be contacted to collect the items from school.

Any enquires please email j.kaine@gwc.org.uk
