The GWA Honor Choir has been working very hard to prepare for this week’s excursion! Here are some details that you need to know:
Extra Rehearsal:
There will be an extra after-school rehearsal from 3:30 - 4:30 on Wednesday, May 9. This is to make up for rehearsals missed due to field trips, school breaks, and other activities.
Location:
We will spend Thursday and Friday at Casablanca American School (Route de la Mecque, Lotissement Ougoug, Quartier Californie, Casablanca)
Transportation:
Students will come to GWA as usual on both Thursday and Friday mornings, and report to their regular classrooms for attendance. We will meet in the music room at 8:00, and then travel together by bus. Buses will leave at 8:15 both days for a 9:00 arrival at CAS.
Parents are responsible for picking up their children at the main entrance to CAS at the end of each day. Pick-up time on Thursday is at 6:00pm. Pick-up time on Friday is at 7:00pm. However, family members and friends are encouraged to arrive at 6:00pm on Friday to enjoy the concert!
Meals:
We are asking that students bring a packed lunch to CAS on Thursday, May 11. If your child normally eats school lunch, the cafeteria will provide a packed lunch. On Friday, May 12, CAS will provide lunch. Snacks will be served to students during breaks. Students are asked to bring a refillable water bottle to use during rehearsals.
Attire:
On Thursday, students are to wear their regular GWA uniforms all day.
On Friday, students are asked to wear black pants (no skirts, leggings, or high heels), along with a t-shirt of their choice. They will receive t-shirts for the performance on Friday afternoon.
