The West Side Athletic league is competitive and there are try-outs for each sport.
Try-outs usually run 2 to 3 days. Upon completion of the try-out the coach will give a list of the players who have made the team and it will be posted. Questions regarding team selection will be directed to Jeremy Norris jnorris@gvusd.org
A student must have a current sports physical to try-out for a team.
Along with a physical, each player will be required to fill out an athletic packet that includes a transportation slip, emergency card and code of ethics. They will also be required to maintain a GPA at or above a 2.0 to continue to play.
Transportation will be provided to and from games. Parents may pick up their child from away games, after they have been checked out. Students my only get checked out by their parents, unless it has been approved by administration, 5 days in advance.
