This award is sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Association of School Librarians for the purpose of providing an annual nominee list of quality books for students within the 2.8 - 4.8 reading range. Books on the GKC Read nominee list are intended to introduce quality contemporary literature to students. The list contains ten books that are a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles in a variety of different genres. This is an optional program for all Prairie Branch 3rd grade students.

To Vote: Read 4 books by March 1st, 2021 to vote for your favorite title to win the Great Kids Can Read Award.

Pizza Party: Read all 10 books by May 3, 2021, to be invited to a Pizza Party in the library in May (date to be determined)!!!
