NYS PTA DEI Award Mar 15
NYS PTA PARP Award May 15
The Genesee Valley Region PTA Leadership Grant is designed to give individuals in the Genesee Valley Region financial support so that they may attend NYS PTA Summer Experience, NYS PTA Convention, Legislative Education, or other PTA event at the discretion of the Genesee Valley Region PTA. Participation in summer trainings is an important part of the role of a PTA officer.
For 2025, GVPTA will award 4 grants of up to $500 to attend the NYS PTA Convention for units that cannot afford to attend on their own. This is a fabulous training opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running your PTA and a magnificent networking opportunity to meet your PTA peers from across the state. We urge every unit to use their budgeted funds to send at least one member. As a PTA veteran once said, "the reason we get into trouble is because we do not have the training to keep out of it." Apply through 9/29.
For 2026, GVPTA will award 4 grants of $250 to attend the NYS PTA Summer Leadership Conference. Preference will be given to units with financial need, and first time attendees. If chosen, you will be responsible for registering and booking your accommodations through NYS PTA. Apply through June 15th

Genesee Valley Region PTA established this Award to honor region board members who display these same leadership qualities. Past winners of the award nominate and elect a winner.
