PINNING CEREMONY
The Pinning Ceremony of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) is a significant milestone that symbolizes the transition of students from academic learning to professional industry immersion. This meaningful event marks the official recognition of students as future tourism and hospitality professionals who are ready to undertake their internship and practical training in the field.
Significance of the Pinning Ceremony
The pinning ceremony is more than a formal tradition—it is a rite of passage that highlights students’ readiness to represent the institution with competence, discipline, and professionalism. The ceremonial pin serves as a badge of honor, reflecting the students’ hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in the tourism and hospitality industry.
It also signifies the beginning of their On-the-Job Training (OJT), where students will apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings such as hotels, travel agencies, resorts, airlines, and tourism establishments.
KOREAN CUISINE & CULTURE EXPERIENCE
𝐀 𝐊𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐓 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄!
In collaboration with Lighthouse Church Koronadal and Haengbokhan Woori Church (행복한 우리교회), students from the Green Valley College - College of Tourism and Hospitality Management participated in a cultural exchange activity featuring Korean cuisine. The students prepared Kimchi-bokkeumbap (Kimchi Fried Rice) and a traditional Korean cold bean drink (Kong-guk).
The students gained valuable experience working alongside Korean visitors led by Rev. Kuk Jung Il of Haengbokhan Woori Church and event coordinator Ptr. William Palma of Lighthouse Church. It was a fun and meaningful opportunity where everyone enjoyed a wonderful time of learning and cultural immersion.
