Students explore opportunities in the field of criminal justice while learning about our legal system. Course work includes an in-depth look at police work, the courts, and the field of corrections. Students also learn about federal, state and local laws and their effects on the community.
Guest lecturers from various phases of the criminal justice field, mock trials, and field trips give students a first-hand view of our criminal justice system at work. Career opportunities include police work, probation, corrections, courts, and security. A simulated crime scene investigation culminates the school year.
