We’re celebrating a milestone—and we’d love to celebrate it with you! We’re bringing nursing alumni together to celebrate 70 years of nursing education at Gustavus. We will begin at 9 a.m. with light breakfast and a welcome with updates about the program where you’ll have an opportunity to reconnect with fellow nursing graduates, faculty, and the nursing program through a social hour in Beck Hall.  We will then move to Mattson Hall for a breakout session at 10 a.m., where we will explore timely and thought-provoking topics relevant to nursing today.

This touching, time-honored tradition at Gustavus pays tribute to all members of the Gustavus community who have passed since the previous Homecoming. It’s a special time for families to come to campus and remember their loved one, and includes special music from the Alumni Choir—choir alumni singing alongside current Choir of Christ Chapel and Lucia Singers members. The service is live streamed each year so that families unable to attend in person can participate.

Gustavus students, family, and friends are invited to attend this special Family Weekend worship service featuring musical selections from the Gustavus ensembles Christ Chapel Ringers, Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra, Jazz Lab Collective, and Gustavus Wind Symphony. Prelude music will begin at approximately 9:40 a.m. with the service starting at 10 a.m.

The Gustavus Department of Music is proud to present the College's four touring ensembles for a performance in celebration of Family Weekend. The concert will feature performances by the Gustavus Wind Orchestra, Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, Gustavus Jazz Ensemble, and Gustavus Choir.
