Peer MALTs assist FTS instructors by planning and facilitating advising lessons while developing important mentoring, teaching, and leadership skills.
Peer MALTs serve as role models and mentors to first-year students and play a vital role in supporting new students’ transition to college. Eligible candidates are returning students (typically those that will be third- and fourth-year students in the fall); a GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly recommended.
Faculty, staff, administrators, and previous Peer MALTs are all encouraged to nominate students by filling out the form below or by contacting students directly using the letter template below.
