since 2011

2011 - founded as Gusoma iK- Inzu y'Ubwanditsi by an African immigrant studying in London, United-Kingdom.

Started translating books to Kinyarwanda and vice versa.

2012 - Started selling postcards written in Kinyarwanda in Rwanda, France, Belgium and Online, from Belfast, Northern Ireland

2015 - Started developing Word processor in African languages

2016 - Gusoma Technology was conceived as a sister company to commercialise Word Processing supporting African languages

2020 - Gusoma Publishing and Gusoma Technology incorporated in London, United-Kingdom and Kigali, Rwanda.

Why Gusoma ?

"I fall in love for a Rwandan woman and for her, I decided that I needed to master Kinyarwanda.

At the time, I was studying Philosophy and War studies. I won a travelship to work in Rwanda and that is how I started my journey with Gusoma.

I could spent hours learning verbs in Kinyarwanda one by one, collecting spelling and grammar and memorising them. Then I would be using this knowledge to talk to her and every single Rwandan I encountered.

It became a devouring passion so I decided to turn it into a business. I hired a team of professionals and experts in Kinyarwanda and built what is now Gusoma Publishing."
