Hello Families! My name is Marta Hernández. I was born in Santa Clara, Cuba but came to the United States when I was four years old. My family and I eventually settled in Glendale, where I was raised. I am so excited to begin my 35th year of teaching for the Glendale Unified School District this school year. Kindergarten is my favorite grade to teach, and I feel privileged to be able to share this experience with your child!
My husband Ric and I live in South Pasadena with our two amazing daughters, Devyn and Sydney.
I love being a part of the Mountain Avenue community. We are going to have a wonderful time learning, sharing, and having fun!
A few of my favorite things... hot chocolate, dark chocolate, sunflowers, Amazon, reading, the Dodgers, and, most of all, spending time with my family and friends.
