Summer Learning - How to Navigate this Page:
Each grade has a designated space on this dashboard.
Grade levels listed are the ones that your child(ren) is entering at the start of the '25-'26 academic year.
Grades 1-4 have a summer reading book and a math worksheet packet to complete over the summer. We will also be uploading answer keys for the math worksheet packets this summer, so stay tuned for those!
If you are looking for additional summer skill work for your child, our suggestion is to read as many "good fit" books as possible, and to use their IXL account for additional ELA and/or math practice. Journaling is another fun way to keep writing skills fresh over the summer!

Dear Rising Second Graders,
We are so excited for next year! Over the summer, we would like to have you read The Name Jar by Choi Yangsook. Please be ready to participate in a class discussion when school begins. This can be a family read-aloud, or you may read this independently. Happy reading! Can’t wait to see you next year!
Best,

Dear Rising First Graders,
I am so excited to have you next year! Over the summer, I would love for you to read I Wonder by Annaka Harris. Please be ready to participate in a class discussion when school begins. Take a picture walk and enjoy the beautiful illustrations in this book. This can then be a lovely family read aloud this summer. Happy reading!
Best,
Mrs. Gallo
