She had the privilege of continuing the legacy by training under her grandmother, Bhaimi Narayanan (Kumarakam Chechi), for eight years. She is an alumini of Santhigiri Ayurveda Medical College in Palakkad. With 15 years of experience in clinical practice, Dr. Dhanya has developed expertise in various areas, including patient care, manufacturing and quality control of Ayurvedic formulations, and product development. 

She has also served as a medical officer in a government Ayurveda dispensary in Peruvanthanam, Kerala. Currently, Dr. Dhanya Prasannan focusses on Ayurvedic dermatology, toxicology, and trichology. Her extensive experience enables her to effectively treat a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, skin diseases, paediatric conditions, and hair ailments.
