Dr. Athira completed her graduation from SN Ayurveda College Kollam. Following her passion towards reproductive medicine and infertility, she pursued her postgraduate degree from the prestigious KLE university Belagavi. She had undergone clinical training under various experts in the field, with added credits of various research papers in national and international journals. She is presently the chief consultant in gynaecology and reproductive medicine.

Her area of interest includes: rejuvenation, premarital counselling, preconceptional care for healthy progeny, women's health and wellness, Ayurvedic eugenetics (Garbha Samskara), male and female infertility, male and female sexual dysfunction, and rasayana therapy (antioxidant, anti-ageing, immunomodulatory, nutraceuticals).
