Happy Election Day! In honor of this special day, I’m taking a break from the Tech Tip I was going to share, to give you some new, fun Google Tools!! We’ll continue with Google Slides and new ways to use it in the next few weeks.
Check these out – for your class, or just for you personally! Be the life of your next party!
Google News – https://news.google.com/
Google News is a computer-generated news site that aggregates headlines from news sources worldwide, groups similar stories together and displays them according to each reader's personalized interests. You can search newspapers from other countries and translate them, or search for archived articles. Compare and contrast articles from different newspapers. Look back in time to see the articles for specific dates in history (going back to the 40’s I think) See the attachment above for a great document explaining how it can be used in the classroom! Google Trends - https://www.google.com/trends/
Google Trends is a public web facility of Google Inc., based on Google Search, that shows how often a particular search-term is entered relative to the total search-volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages. This is a great resource to have kids predict, hypothesize, and much, much more! VIDEO ON GOOGLE TRENDS

Google Music – https://play.google.com/music/listen?authuser#/sww
Here is another free site that has streaming music. You can stream for free. Check it out! Oh – and another great tip. Have you ever had a YouTube video on, or another website and all of a sudden, sound comes from that tab and you are using a different tab? Yes, you can mute your computer, but maybe, you need the sound on. Just click on the tab where the sound is coming from and right click on it. There is an option to mute the sound from this tab!!!
