****See Word Count in Google Docs
In Google Docs, you can now see the word count while you type. This tool helps students with assignments that have a minimum or maximum word or page requirement. Turn on the word count tool to start counting pages, words, characters, and more. Users often need to see the word count in the documents they write. Instead of going to Tools > Word Count each time you want to view this information, now, you can simply select Tools > Word count > Display word count while typing to continuously display it in the lower left corner of your doc. Click on the link above to see it in action! You can also compare the doc you're working on with another doc in your Drive!!!

Google Classroom's 5th birthday
Five years ago, the Google for Education team launched Google Classroom after a team of Googlers, including several former teachers, began spending more time with educators, and created Google Classroom. Since then, due to the thousands of pieces of feedback we've received from users across the globe, Classroom has grown to reach over 40M users, 200+ countries and include 60+ apps and integrations. This is just a little informative site about Google Classroom and its formation and growth!

Users can now load Classroom lists into WriQ and view dashboards with students’ writing progress and metrics by class. I love this tool! English teachers - check this out! Or anyone that has kids turn in writing! The WriQ extension will help you look at a student writing and give you all the punctuation, grammar, and spelling errors.
