Good Afternoon!!
Stand on the shoulders of giants. (Google’s words – not mine)
Today’s Tech Tuesday tip is on Google Scholar. https://scholar.google.com
Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.
Here is a super information sheet created by Google to introduce you to Google Scholar. https://scholar.google.com/intl/en/scholar/about.html There is also a VIDEO that I created showing the basic features of Google Scholar!
Also, a few weeks ago, I showed you Google News (news.google.com) However, Mary Nordberg showed me an extension to this. If you go to news.google.com/newspapers, you’ll find an archive of newspapers – some dating back to the 1800’s! Wow! Thanks, Mary!!
Amazing!
