Many of you may know about this Google resource, but if you don’t, it’s definitely a MUST!
If you teach humanities or arts, the Google Arts and Culture is a gold mine!

Here, there are many ways to explore this site!
· Nearby – This tab shows some of the cultural, archaeological, artistic sites close by to where you are!
· Partners – These are the partners for this amazing collection and you can view items from each site.
· Projects – Wonderful projects arranged by a category, or exhibit.
· Experiments – Here’s a place to play around with some different types of exhibits. These have to do with technology and the arts.
· Artists – Need a quick look at a specific artist? Take a look at all the works by an artist.
· Mediums – A way to quickly find works by medium.
· Art Movements – This breaks down artistic eras and groups art work.
· Historical Events – Wow! Photos, etc. broken down by major historical events.
· Historical Figures – Another must for teachers of history! Collections of historical figures.
· Places – Of course, this looks at items by place.
· Favorites – Have a class dealing with a certain topic and need to create a collection of your own that doesn’t contain hundreds or thousands of items? Create your own collection and add items found in other collections to yours.
All of the collections can be organized by alphabetical order and most can also be organized in chronological order.
Google Cultural Institute is FREE and worth checking out for use in the school settings or personally!
