Good Morning! I hope everyone is enjoying some time off! I know it’s break, but there are so many Great Google-y Things I can’t take a break!!

This week is a short discussion on sharing with Google Sites.

Students can collaborate and share a site where all have equal access. This is a nice feature for creating a website especially if students are working on a project together.

To share, just click the share icon on the top right.

At this time, students have 3 options:

· Sharing with everyone at Gunnison Schools

· Sharing with anyone who has the link from Gunnison Schools

· Sharing with specific individuals within the Gunnison Schools domain.

We do not allow sharing outside the district. If this is to be changed, know that it will affect everything in a student’s drive as well. Currently, we are set up so students have a ‘walled garden’ and no one from outside the district has access to anything a student does. It may be difficult to monitor if students can create sites that are accessible outside the district and they put up questionable content. This is a decision that will need to be brought before multiple groups before being changed.
