3 Great Things You Didn't Know You Could Do in Google Slides!! (Next 3 weeks)
Thing 1
You can resize your slides! Why would you want to do this? Do you want to create fancier flyers, brochures, or other types of documents? Were you a Publisher user and wish you had these types of options? Well, then this option is for you!
Open Google Slides
Go to FILE - PAGE SETUP and then select CUSTOM (There are other options, but custom is where to go to create all types of sizes!
Once you click CUSTOM, you'll have the option of the size you want to put in. Let's start with a pretty one page flyer so make your size 8.5 for the width and 11 for the height and click OK. REMEMBER - YOU CAN CHANGE THE SIZE TO WHATEVER SIZE SUITS YOUR NEEDS!
Get rid of the text boxes already on the page. There are 2 ways to do this;
Click on the text box, now click again on the text box so the words come back and hit backspace.
On the menu at the top, click on SLIDE - APPLY LAYOUT - and choose BLANK.
Now, you can add your own text boxes, images, etc. by clicking on INSERT and choosing what you'd like to add.
Print your document (slide)!
Why not do this in Google Docs? Google docs does not allow for text boxes and when you add images, there are only a few options for text wrapping. I have a difficult time putting my images exactly where I want them in Docs. In Slides, I can put them anywhere I want them!! I can put text boxes in and manipulate them as well! Give it a try sometime!
