For new students in a class (this means current students switching to a new class):
1. They need to log in to their Google account and then go to Classroom.
2. Give them the code for the class they need. You can find the code on the your login in your classroom. It’s under the Students tab. In the top left, there is a CLASS CODE.
3. Students need to hit the + sign from the main classroom page (not be in a specific class) and the + is on the top right.
4. They will click Join Class and enter the code.
5. They will now be in your new class. They will continue to have access to all the assignments they completed from the other section of the class in a separate folder in their Drive.
Now, you have a choice. You can delete the students that have left a class, or you can just leave them there.
Either way, here are your steps:
1. Go to Classroom and the Students tab.
2. Here, you’ll have a list of all students.
3. Click the box next to the students that have left that class.
4. Then, up at the top, there is a box that says ACTIONS.
5. Choose to either delete the student, or you can mute the student. If you mute the student, he/she will not be able to comment, but will still have access to all the assignments.
