Symposium date: March 9th, 2026
Venue: Kiryu City Performing Arts Center
Scope
The School of Science and Technology, Gunma University, was originally established in 1896 by the citizens of Kiryu as a private school for the education of textile technology, which was the most advanced technology in Japan. More than 100 years later, its activities have expanded to include chemistry, chemical biology, materials science, mechanics, electronics, computer science, and civil engineering, but the spirit of adventure in pioneering new sciences and developing new technologies has remained unchanged in each of these fields.
The 6th Gunma International Symposium 2026 for Bridge between Medical, Material and Module Sciences (GIS2026) aims to showcase transformative research and practical applications that can pave the way for future breakthroughs. In particular, the symposium will focus on young researchers in the fields of materials science, biomolecular chemistry and module science, disseminate their cutting-edge research, and promote cross-disciplinary research exchange. The symposium will also serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among academic scientists, students, and industry professionals. We are looking forward to your active participation!
